LOCATION.-- Lat 38°46'33", long 89°29'56", in NW1/4SW1/4 sec. 24, T.4 N., R.4 W., Bond County, Hydrologic Unit 07140203, on left bank at upstream side of bridge on State Highway 143, 1.1 mi east of Baden Baden, 6.5 mi east of Pierron, and at mile 43.0.

SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 17,700 ft3/s, May 19, 1995, gage height 60.21 ft; minimum discharge, 4.7 ft3/s, Oct. 13, 1997.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--
SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Flood of Apr. 23, 1973 reached a stage of 59.48 ft, discharge 14,900 ft3/s, from information by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
